Haleakala Sunrise
Amanda and I woke up at 2:30 on our first morning in Hawaii to make the 2 hour drive up to the Haleakala Crater. We were warned that it would be "cold". What we didn't realize was that "cold" meant 10 degrees with a bone chilling gusty wind that created probably the coldest weather I've ever experienced. This is the view from the visitor's center, located a few hundred feet below the summit.

Eagle Tree
Amanda and I found a tree that had quite a few eagles hanging out in it. At one point there were 7 birds in the tree at the same time.

We attended a Christmas Choir Concert last Friday. The show was quite good. Well done Whidbey Community Chorus!
